Job summary

Kroger Family of Companies is seeking a Front End Operations Specialist to support day-to-day department operations, emphasizing customer service and efficiency in Front End, Customer Service Center and Accounting. This role focuses on implementing improved processes and maintaining a clean, safe shopping environment.

The position requires multi-tasking, reliability, and strong communication skills, with flexibility to work varied shifts and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Willing to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, or nights as needed.
• Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed (Prime Time).
• Store retail experience with emphasis on customer service and frontend operations.
• Ability to multi task and handle large workloads.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to learn a wide range of computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ACE, Supersked.
• Understanding of all key components of department operations (managing people, merchandising, inventory management, shrink control, labor scheduling, expense control).
• Past work record must exhibit a high level of integrity and dependability.

Responsibilities

• Explore and develop more effective and efficient processes, policies and procedures for Front End, Customer Service Center and Accounting.
• Design a cleaner, more efficient working environment for Front End, Customer Service and Accounting.
• Ensure safe, effective and efficient customer service is provided throughout department.
• Improve Shopping Experience Progress Report, Customer Tracker, Associate Tracker, Cash Over/Short, CCG, ELMS utilization, Customer Comment Cards, FES Evaluations, Bob Audits, and Key Retailing Measurements.
• Provide training, support and follow up on all aspects of Key Retailing.
• Coach and train customer service manager and front end supervisors.
• Promote, communicate and implement company initiatives and process improvements to direct reports in a positive and respectful manner.
• Support store management and customer service manager in maintaining a well-organized, clean, pleasant shopping environment at the check stands, front-end, Self Service Checkouts, Customer Service Center, Accounting Room and parking lot area.
• Follow through on special assignments and perform any and all duties as assigned.
