Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Front-end Lead to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals, supervise front-end operations, and promote best practices and Front-end standards to ensure a positive customer experience.

You will foster teamwork, manage scheduling and budgets with store management, and ensure compliance with safety and food handling guidelines while upholding Kroger's core

Qualifications

• Retail or Customer Service experience.
• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions on products.
• Know products in the department and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Assist with monitoring and controlling supply expenses for the department.
• Assist with managing cash control, sales and cash records for the store.
• Schedule Front-end associates to provide adequate department coverage.
• Assist in budgeting, P&L reviews and actioning financial reports with store management.
• Help develop and implement department action plans to achieve results.
• Collaborate with Front-end associates for teamwork.
• Display a positive attitude and stay current with ads.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain temperature logs.
• Report safety risks or issues and any illegal activity.
