Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. in Los Angeles is seeking a part-time Shortage Control Associate to help create a secure shopping environment while delivering outstanding customer service.

You will greet customers, monitor entrances, perform bag checks as needed, and report theft incidents to the Manager on Duty. A flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays is required; base pay is $18.42 per hour with an associate discount.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to visually monitor store environment.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent communication with customers and co-workers.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Deliver great customer service and greet every customer entering or exiting the store with a warm smile and friendly greeting.
• Monitor entrances/exits and high-risk areas to reduce theft opportunities.
• Conduct bag and package checks on store and corporate associates, ensuring safety and security standards.
• Identify and report theft incidents or suspicious activity to the Manager on Duty.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
