Job summary

The Kroger Co. in Stevens Point, WI is seeking a Front-end department leader to deliver outstanding customer service and manage daily operations.

You will supervise associates, implement department standards, and ensure a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return. You will train staff on inventory, pricing, and promotions while coordinating with store management on budgets, P&L reviews, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math and ability to handle stressful situations.
• Retail or customer service experience required.

• Promote trust and respect among associates.

• Stay informed about products and be able to respond to inquiries and suggest items.
• Monitor and control supply expenses for the department.
• Manage cash control, sales and cash items and records for the store.
• Schedule Front-end associates for adequate department coverage.
• Assist store management with budgets, P&L reviews and actions on financial reports.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Create and execute sales promotions with store management.
• Monitor ads and promotions; update price tags and signs.
• Oversee inventory processes and stock levels.
