Kroger in Delaware, OH is seeking a Front-end Associate to assist the department manager in achieving sales goals and maintaining a safe, welcoming store environment. You will support budgeting, scheduling, and daily Front-end operations while ensuring high standards of service and product knowledge.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to safety guidelines, and effective communication with customers and associates to deliver an outstanding shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction).
• Retail or Customer Service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Second language (speaking, reading and/or writing).

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that makes customers feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Assist with monitoring and control of department supply expenses.
• Assist with managing cash control, sales and cash records for the store.
• Manage scheduling of Front-end associates for adequate coverage.
• Assist in preparing the department budget, P&L reviews, and related actions on financial reports.
• Collaborate with Front-end associates to promote teamwork.
• Adhere to safety procedures and local, state and federal laws.
