Job summary

New Seasons Market in Portland, OR is seeking a Front End Assistant Manager to help run the department with a focus on service, operations and team leadership. You will partner with the Front End Manager to deliver an exceptional customer experience and maintain department standards.

Responsibilities include training staff, overseeing cashiering and bagging, enforcing safety and alcohol sale policies, managing inventory and back stock, and communicating across teams to support store goals.

Qualifications

• Retail/front-end or grocery supervision experience required.
• Strong MS Office and POS/inventory software knowledge.
• Demonstrated supervisory/management experience preferred.
• Financial acumen with sales and margins preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delegate tasks within the department and assist cashiering, bagging, and carry-outs.
• Train and coach staff on customer service expectations.
• Maintain department appearance, signage, staffing levels and service quality.
• Ensure compliance with alcohol sales and state/local regulations and safety policies.
• Manage inventory and back stock; troubleshoot equipment as needed.
