Job summary

New Seasons Market in Oregon is seeking a Produce Assistant Manager to partner with the Produce Manager in day-to-day department operations. You will oversee staffing, merchandising, inventory, and customer service to deliver an exceptional shopping experience.

This non-exempt, full-time role requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. You will train staff, ensure product knowledge, maintain department standards, and uphold safety policies.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service, food service, retail or grocery experience required.
• Produce experience preferred.
• Supervisory or leadership experience a plus.
• Experience with inventory management and ordering is desirable.
• MS Office familiarity and basic math skills helpful.

Responsibilities

• Assist Produce Manager in operating the department.
• Maintain department conditions, stock, rotation, and merchandising.
• Ensure product knowledge and customer service excellence.
• Train and coach staff; delegate tasks and supervise effectively.
• Support inventory management and in-stock conditions to meet sales goals.
• Adhere to food safety policies and company standards.
• Collaborate with other departments for tastings and promotions.
