Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
• Some basic computer experience and use of common retail technology.
• One year of retail cashier experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe’s customer service policies.
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Listens to and responds to customer and employee questions by guiding them through projects when necessary.
• Communicates information to customers regarding stock, special order merchandise, feature benefits, and warranty information.
• Coaches and trains associates in department duties and sales opportunities.
• Uses a cash register to process sales, returns, and refunds per company guidelines.
• Removes security tags, verifies product information, and bags merchandise.
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages.
• Enters and submits customer orders, prints order tickets, verifies receipts, and signs off on loading tickets.
• Looks up product information and competitor prices for price matching.
