Job summary

BLN24 is seeking a Front End Web Developer to support CFPB’s RegTech BPA program from our McLean, VA office. You will design and build intuitive, accessible, public-facing web apps using React and modern front-end tech, collaborating with user research and back-end teams.

This role involves delivering containerized applications with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines in an open-source environment, and ensuring 508-compliant interfaces with data visualizations as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, SASS, responsive design, and Bootstrap.
• Proven track record delivering public-facing, open-source solutions.
• Strong React experience and ability to translate requirements into UI features.
• Experience collaborating with backend teams to design JSON APIs.
• Experience with automated testing and CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Travis, Ansible).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain public-facing web applications using React and modern front-end techniques.
• Build responsive UIs with HTML5, CSS3, SASS, and Bootstrap; compose UIs from npm/Yarn packages.
• Translate organizational needs into web application solutions via custom code.
• Participate in design sprints with user research teams to address user needs.
• Collaborate with backend developers to design JSON APIs for the UI.
• Develop automated tests and support CD pipelines for containerized apps (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Build accessible, 508-compliant interfaces and data visualizations.
• Manage source code, reviews, and releases in GitHub in an Agile, open-source team.
