Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Front-end Associate to help create an outstanding customer experience and maintain a safe, clean environment at the Fond Du Lac store. You will support the Front-end department manager, supervise activities, and contribute to achieving department goals and standards.

You will assist with scheduling, cash controls, and service excellence while upholding Kroger's values of respect, integrity, and safety. On-site, part-time opportunities are available in Fond du Lac, WI.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations in a retail environment.
• Knowledge of basic math for cash handling and budgeting.
• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Second language abilities welcome or required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with suggestions.
• Assist with monitoring and controlling department expenses.
• Assist with cash controls, sales and cash item records for the store.
• Manage scheduling of Front-end associates for adequate coverage.
• Assist management in budgeting, P&L reviews, and financial reporting actions.
• Help develop and execute department action plans and labor scheduling with management.
• Collaborate with Front-end staff and promote teamwork.
• Maintain a positive attitude and adapt to ads and seasonal changes.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperature logs.
• Ensure safety procedures and report risks or incidents promptly.
• Support maintenance and repairs as needed and report issues.
• Follow all laws and company guidelines.
