Job summary

The role requires the ability to learn multiple tasks, handle cash transactions, and maintain store standards. Comfortable working in a retail environment with a team of associates and following Food Lion dress code is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and handle cashier duties.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service to customers.
• Greet customers and use their name when possible.
• Unload groceries and assist with bagging to optimize efficiency.
• Handle checkout and payment transactions per standard practice.
• Follow cash handling procedures and assist with refunds and overrides.
• Assist customers with to-go orders and car-side service when applicable.
• Maintain clean and organized front-end area and restock as needed.
• Perform duties as scheduled per surge plan and assist CSM/ACSM when required.
