Job summary

ShopRite of Bernardsville in Bernardsville, NJ is hiring a Customer Service/Courtesy Clerk to deliver a great customer experience, scan and price items, and handle transactions with accuracy and courtesy.

The role requires English proficiency, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, standing for long shifts, and friendly, reliable service. Training on Wakefern programs and store policies is provided.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Able to stand/walk for full shifts.
• Able to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Able to work with fresh, dried and/or processed foods and handle products safely.
• Able to tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Provide friendly, helpful customer service and work cooperatively.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Scan, price, bag products and handle transactions accurately.
• Enter customer information for Wakefern programs as needed.
• Answer customer inquiries by phone or in person.
• Maintain a clean, neat, safe work area.
• Follow store policies for returns and exchanges.
