Job summary

ShopRite of West Chester in West Chester, PA is hiring for a Front-End Associate to deliver friendly, efficient checkout service. You will scan, price, bag products, collect payment, and provide accurate change while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized front-end area.

The role requires strong English communication, basic math, ability to stand for long shifts, and the stamina to lift up to 50 lbs. Customer interaction and teamwork are essential to our daily operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work with fresh, dried and/or processed products without allergic issues.
• Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work all assigned schedules and comply with time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized, and safe front-end area.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, utensils, and equipment per standards.
• Keep floor clear of debris and spills.
• Handle all forms of payments in accordance with company guidelines.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Accurately identify and scan products and process payments.
• Bag customer orders safely and efficiently.
• Promote current charitable promotions to customers.
• Perform duties in compliance with safety, policy, and regulatory requirements.
