Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC in Salt Lake City, Utah is seeking a Customer Service Associate II to help with daily store operations, from merchandising to assisting customers, while keeping a clean, welcoming environment and being cross-trained to support the cash register.

You will handle sales transactions, safeguard cash and assets, and occasionally switch to front-end duties as needed. The job requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to lift 30–50 lbs and stay on your feet.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous customer service experience in retail or similar.
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents.
• Must lift 30–50 lbs and stand/walk frequently.
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• High level of integrity and basic math for cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Receiving merchandise, unloading trucks, and processing freight safely.
• Merchandising and stocking as needed.
• Assisting with cleanliness throughout the store.
• Maintaining positive, safe interactions with customers and staff.
• Managing sales transactions at the cash register.
• Maintaining security of cash and company assets.
• Fully cross-trained to support the cash register and front-end duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
