Job summary

Innovaccer Inc. is seeking a Coding Specialist to independently review and resolve front-end scrubs and denied claims, ensuring accurate coding and timely reimbursement. You will apply CPT/ICD-10-CM guidelines, analyze medical records, and maintain high coding accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, strong documentation standards, and collaboration with revenue cycle partners to prevent rejections and promote clean claims.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current AAPC or AHIMA Coding Certification for a minimum of 3 years.
• Minimum of 3+ years of professional coding experience.
• Strong working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and Medicare guidelines.
• Experience reviewing front-end coding errors before submitting to insurance.
• Experience reviewing and correcting coding from insurance denials and EOBs.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and resolve front-end scrubs and denied claims to ensure timely payments.
• Review and resubmit corrected claims; create appeal letters if needed.
• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes with appropriate modifiers.
• Ensure diagnoses codes meet medical necessity guidelines.
• Maintain 92% coding accuracy and adhere to HIPAA requirements.
• Research data and apply payer guidelines to ensure compliant coding.
