Job summary

Innovaccer Inc. is seeking a Coding Specialist to independently review and resolve front-end scrubs and denied claims, ensuring accurate and timely payments.

You will apply CPT/ICD-10-CM coding guidelines, work with revenue cycle partners, and help prevent claim rejections in a fast-paced environment. The role requires 3+ years of professional coding experience, current AAPC or AHIMA certification, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• AAPC or AHIMA Coding Certification for a minimum of 3 years.
• Minimum of 3+ years of professional coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and Medicare guidelines.
• Experience reviewing front-end coding errors and denials.
• Familiarity with English grammar and professional documentation standards.
• Ability to research data, interpret policies, and resolve coding issues.
• Experience in medical billing environment with HIPAA compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Review and resolve front-end holds and denials.
• Submit corrected claims and appeals.
• Maintain 92% coding accuracy.
• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes with modifiers.
• Review medical records and determine appropriate codes.
• Ensure codes meet medical necessity guidelines.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and protect PHI.
• Stay updated on payer policies and guidance.
• Escalate client trends to Coding Manager.
• Participate in meetings and mentorship with Coding Team Lead.
• Complete CEU requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
