Job summary

Innovaccer Inc. seeks a Coding Specialist to independently review, analyze, and resolve front-end scrubs and denied claims to ensure accurate and timely payment. You will correct coding issues, resubmit corrected claims, and appeal denials following CPT, ICD-10-CM, and payer guidelines.

The role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting, and collaboration with revenue cycle partners to improve clean claim rates and compliant coding practices.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current AAPC or AHIMA Coding Certification for a minimum of 3 years.
• Minimum of 3+ years of professional coding experience.
• Strong working knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and Medicare guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review front-end scrubs and denied claims to ensure accurate payments.
• Resubmit corrected claims or appeal denials with proper documentation.
• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT codes with modifiers for professional services.
• Review medical records to determine appropriate codes for documented services.
• Maintain 92% coding accuracy and ensure compliance with guidelines.
