Job summary

Safeway in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Front-End Team Member to help provide a smooth checkout experience. You will scan items, bag groceries, answer questions, and help customers complete purchases with a friendly, efficient approach.

You’ll rotate between tasks, keep the checkout area organized, assist with stocking and upkeep, and thrive in a fast-paced environment that offers weekly pay, associate discounts, flexible schedules, and training.

Qualifications

• Must be 16+ (or 18+ depending on local/state requirements)
• Completion of cashier/front-end training upon hire
• Basic math and communication skills required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays
• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Scan items and handle transactions accurately at checkout
• Bag groceries and assist with cart retrieval
