Job summary

GFL Industries in Columbus, NC is looking for Front-End Drivers to operate front-end trucks on residential and commercial routes, transporting waste to transfer stations and landfills as required by contracts. You will service multiple customers per day, with emphasis on safety and timely service.

Applicants must hold a valid CDL or CDL school certificate and have at least 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL training.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year commercial driving experience or CDL training.
Ability to pass safety-sensitive evaluations and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

Drive frontload or ancillary equipment on designated routes to collect solid waste.
Open container enclosures and roll 3–4-yard cans into position for dumping.
Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and submit vehicle reports.
Interact courteously with customers; report issues to supervisor as needed.
Keep truck area and site clean; address spills around dumping operations.
Maintain route/productivity logs and vehicle condition reports daily.
Maneuver truck into/out of tight spaces using mirrors and careful positioning.
Follow safety standards and company policies; comply with laws.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
