Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking a Front-End Driver to operate front-end trucks on multi-stop routes, collecting waste and recyclables for customer contracts. You will use maps and GPS to locate addresses, while ensuring safety at all times and reporting any issues to supervision.

The role requires a valid CDL or CDL school certificate, plus 1 year of driving experience or related training. Expect outdoor work in varying weather and adherence to safety standards throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid CDL.
• Minimum of 1 year commercial truck driving experience OR CDL school certificate.
• Able to meet safety-sensitive function criteria per company standards.
• Able to demonstrate safe operation of the truck and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive front-load or ancillary equipment along designated routes to collect solid waste and transport to post-collection facilities.
• Open container enclosures or gates to access cans and position for dumping.
• Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections and vehicle condition reports.
• Interact courteously with customers and respond to questions or requests along the route.
• Maintain cleanliness around truck and drop-off locations and report safety issues.
