Job summary

Kroger is seeking a customer-focused associate at our Gilbert store. You will assist customers, process sales, and support store operations at the Customer Service Desk. The role involves handling refunds, exchanges, and payments, along with maintaining checkout areas and complying with corporate policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Six months cashier experience to work at Customer Service Desk.
• Minimum 18 years of age/19 in some states if selling tobacco.
• Ability to pass drug test.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work weekends regularly and overtime as needed.
• Ability to organize tasks and follow company policies.
• Retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and process sales.
• Operate cashier functions: open/close register, ring sales, tender transactions, bag merchandise.
• Maintain checkstand area to standards and handle price discrepancies.
• Answer telephones and handle refunds, exchanges, and payments at the Customer Service Desk.
• Provide lottery service and issue licenses where applicable.
• Maintain store accounting functions and banking deposits.
