Job summary

Kroger in Lawrenceburg, KY is seeking a Customer Service and Cashier Associate to support store operations and provide excellent service at the desk and checkout. You will handle cash transactions, assist customers, and maintain a clean, organized checkstand area.

The role requires the ability to work weekends, pass a background check, and adapt to a fast-paced environment while upholding company policies and safety standards. Training provided and potential for growth within Kroger stores.

Qualifications

• Six months cashier experience to work at Customer Service Desk
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent education/experience

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
• Perform cashier functions including open/close register, ring sales, complete tender transactions, bag merchandise, make money drops
• Complete file maintenance log for price discrepancies
• Maintain cleanliness of checkstand area to housekeeping standards
• Answer telephones
• Comply with corporate policies and initiatives
• Verify EAS tags are deactivated/removed at point of sale
• Respond to pedestal activations and verify tag removal as necessary
• Maintain all store accounting functions
• Prepare bank deposits of excess funds
• Open and close the customer service desk
• Process refunds, exchanges, money orders, transfers, bill pay, gift cards, etc.
• Provide lottery service and fish and game licenses
• Dossier handling: send/receive faxes; lost and found; handle conflicts professionally
• Ability to work cooperatively in high-paced, sometimes stressful environments
• Provide support and assistance to minors, people with special needs, and older adults
• Perform essential functions with/without accommodations
