Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a friendly Cashier (Sales Associate) to provide fast, accurate, and courteous service at the Front End. You will greet customers, scan items, handle payments, and assist with bagging while maintaining a clean, organized front end and upholding Food Lion service standards.

As a valued team member, you will support store operations, collaborate with other associates, and participate in training to grow within a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center duties.
• Must meet minimum age requirements for specific job functions.
• Must meet physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service to customers.
• Greet customers and use names when possible.
• Bag and handle items efficiently and follow cash handling procedures.
• Scan items, process payments and refunds per policy.
• Maintain clean and orderly front end area and assist customers as needed.
