Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service to customers.
• Greet customers by name when possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt for easier bagging.
• Check carts and under seats for items before completing orders.
• Bag items correctly by type.
• Scan orders and process payments according to standard practice.
• Limit personal conversations when customers are present.
• Handle cash, checks, coupons, gift cards, and WIC vouchers.
• Follow refund and error-correction procedures.
• Maintain accurate cash control.
• Perform overrides when needed.
• Offer to take customer's order to their car when appropriate.
• Stay alert and call for assistance as needed.
• Check prices quickly and accurately.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with name badge on duty.
• Retrieve shopping carts from parking lot and corrals.
• Keep front end area neat and presentable.
• Report register malfunctions to supervisors.
• Ensure MVP savings center KIOSK is stocked and functioning.
• Adhere to all company guidelines, policies and standard practices.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions.
• Notify QA of cleaning or maintenance issues.
• Complete CBT and training courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
