Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate in Greensboro, NC to deliver fast, friendly customer service at the register and throughout the front end. You will greet customers, scan items, process payments, and assist shoppers to ensure a smooth checkout experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center tasks.
• Must meet minimum age requirements and physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, friendly service.
• Greet each customer and use their name when possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt for easy bagging.
• Check cart bottoms and under baby seats for items.
• Follow bagging procedures by bag type.
• Scan orders and handle payments per standard practice.
• Maintain cash control and handle refunds correctly.
• Identify customers needing assistance and offer to take orders to their car.
• Keep front end area neat and report malfunctions.
• Complete CBT and training aids.
