Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Front End Associate to provide fast, friendly service, greet customers, and support cash handling at the register. You will help load groceries, manage bagging, and maintain clean front-end areas in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires effective communication, reliability, and the ability to multitask across various front-end duties while adhering to company policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name whenever possible.
• Unload customers' groceries from cart to belt and group items for bagging.
• Check the bottom of every cart and under baby seats for items before completing an order.
• Follow bagging procedures and manage cashier transactions per standard practice.
• Report any register malfunctions to management and ensure MVP Savings Center is stocked.
