Qualifications

• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and cashier requirements.
• Ability to perform cashier and service center responsibilities.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.

Responsibilities

• Smile and provide prompt, accurate and friendly service while engaging customers to create a positive shopping experience.
• Greet each customer and use their name when possible.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt and group items for easy bagging.
• Check the bottom of carts and areas for items before completing an order.
• Follow proper bagging procedures for bag types.
• Scan orders and handle payments per standard practice.
• Follow procedures for refunds, overrides and cash handling.
• Maintain alertness and call for assistance when needed to service customers.
• Ensure the MVP savings center KIOSK is stocked and working.
• Adhere to safety and cleanliness standards and report issues.
• Perform tasks as needed per surge plans, including cashier duties and front-end supervision.
