Job summary

The Kroger Family of Companies is hiring a friendly cashier in Derby, Kansas to assist customers and process sales with accuracy and care.

You will support store operations, handle refunds and exchanges, maintain checkstand cleanliness, answer phones, and follow company policies while upholding our core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity and safety. This role offers growth within a national grocery leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Six months cashier experience preferred for Customer Service Desk.
• Ability to pass drug test and to work weekends/various shifts.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and encourage excellent customer service.
• Perform cashier functions, including open/close register and ring sales.
• Maintain checkstand area and perform file maintenance for price discrepancies.
• Answer phones and comply with corporate policies.
• Process refunds, exchanges, money orders and bill pay at the Customer Service Desk.
• Provide lottery service and licenses where applicable.
• Ensure Electronic Article Surveillance tags are deactivated at sale.
• Open/close desk and manage lost and found.
