Job summary

The Kroger in Wichita, KS is seeking team members for customer service and cashier roles. You will greet customers, process transactions, and operate the POS system, handling various tender types and promotions with accuracy and speed.

Qualifications

• Ability to handle stressful situations.
• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage, and assist customers.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Understand the POS system and handle tenders (Cash, Checks, Credit, Debit, SNAP EBT, WIC, coupons) according to policy.
• Adhere to cash shortage/overage limits and prevent loss.
• Follow guidelines for restricted sale items (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Stay current with ads and promotions.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering questions about products.
• Ensure compliance with laws and company guidelines.

Skills
