Job summary

El Super #48 Wilmington in Wilmington, CA is seeking a Checker to join our Store Operations Team. Starting rate is $18.47 per hour for ages 16-17, with direct supervision from the Front End Supervisor. You will provide friendly customer service and process sales accurately at the register while helping safeguard store assets.

The role requires lifting up to 60 pounds occasionally, basic PC/Outlook skills, and a commitment to community-minded service in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.
