Job summary

El Super is hiring a Checker (#65 North Long Beach) to join our Store Operations Team. The role supports customers with fast, accurate checkout, processes sales, and helps maintain store standards in a fast-paced grocery environment in Long Beach, CA.

Starting rate is $16.90 per hour. Candidates should be able to lift up to 60 pounds and be comfortable with physical tasks. We offer benefits and opportunities in a growing retail company within the Chedraui USA group.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to follow detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, occasionally up to 60 pounds.
