El Super in Anaheim is seeking a Checker to join the store operations team. Under direct supervision, you will handle cash register transactions, assist customers, maintain accurate pricing and shelf integrity, and help ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience.

This role requires ability to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced grocery environment. Starting wage is $17.20 per hour, with opportunities for training and advancement within the El Super family.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information to customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of the Front End Supervisor, the Checker processes sales quickly and accurately, performs cash register operations, and safeguards company assets.
• The working environment is typical for a fast-paced grocery store; must be able to bend, stand, stoop, and lift as required.
