Kroger is seeking a customer service-focused cashier to assist customers and process sales at the Milford store location. You will perform cashier functions, answer phones, and maintain a clean checkstand area while upholding company values of respect and safety.

The role requires reliable availability, minimum 18 years of age, and ability to work in a fast-paced retail setting. Training is provided, with opportunities for advancement within Store Operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Six months cashier experience to work at Customer Service Desk
• Must be at least 18 years old (19 in Idaho/Alaska for tobacco)
• Ability to pass drug test
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work weekends, any shift, and overtime as needed
• Ability to organize and prioritize tasks
• Knowledge of company policies and procedures
• Related retail experience

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and process sales with courteous service
• Handle cashier duties including opening/closing register and processing transactions
• Maintain price discrepancy logs and cleanliness of checkstand area
• Answer phones and comply with corporate policies
• Promote company initiatives and ensure EAS tag removal at point of sale
• Provide lottery services and other desk services as needed
• Support at customer service desk with refunds, exchanges and payments
• Demonstrate honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information
