Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
• Good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented.
• Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.

Responsibilities

• Operate cash register and electronic scanner to itemize customer purchases; handle cash, checks, credit cards, and coupons.
• Weigh and bag customer purchases.
• Explain store programs, loyalty scans, and in-store promotions to customers.
• Maintain a clean, stocked front-end and comply with safety and sanitation procedures.
• May assist with stocking and other departments as needed.
