Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Head Cashier to lead front-end operations at our store. You will ensure fast, friendly, accurate and safe service, handle checkout and returns, and oversee the self-checkout area to minimize shrink and enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities include coaching new cashiers, expediting price checks, approving POS transactions and markdowns, and providing first-level escalation for customer issues. Prior cashier experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of cashier experience.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to supervise and coach others.
• Familiarity with POS and self-checkout processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with fast, friendly, accurate and safe service.
• Process checkout and/or return transactions and monitor the self-checkout area.
• Position cashiers and support staff, expedite price checks and authorize POS transactions and markdowns as needed.
• Escalate customer issues and assist in training and coaching Front End Associates.
