County of Ventura seeks a Hospital Patient Access Services Manager to lead the front door operations for registration, admitting, and scheduling across Ventura County Medical Center and Santa Paula Hospital. The role balances efficient workflows with compassionate customer service to shape the patient experience.

The ideal candidate will drive improvements in front-end processes, reduce eligibility denials, and oversee a decentralized team of Patient Access Supervisors and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field.
• Three years of recent, progressive patient registration and insurance verification experience.
• Two years of direct supervisory or management experience, preferably overseeing multiple supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Directs and provides strategic leadership to the Patient Access teams across facilities.
• Mentors Supervisors and coordinates frontline registrars, coordinators, and scheduling staff.
• Maps and modernizes patient registration, admitting, and scheduling workflows.
• Identifies bottlenecks and drives process redesign to improve throughput.
• Ensures POS financial management and accurate insurance verification.
