Job summary

HealthFitness is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor at Advocate Good Shepherd in Barrington, IL. This full-time role leads the front desk team, enhances member experiences, and ensures a welcoming environment with smooth check-in, payments, and inquiries.

You will supervise staff, handle payroll, support membership sales and events, and collaborate across departments to meet member needs in a wellness-focused setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• 1+ years of experience in accounting or office management.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications preferred but required within 30 days of hire.
• Comfort using computers and learning POS and member management software.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems with limited supervision.
• Multi-tasking and attention to detail are essential.
• Flu vaccination required during the Fall season.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and schedule front desk staff and back-of-house staff.
• Oversee daily front desk operations, including check-in procedures and guest protocols.
• Submit bi-weekly payroll for the front desk team.
• Foster a positive and professional work environment and enforce policies.
• Greet members and guests and address questions and complaints promptly.
• Ensure accurate membership records and transactions.
• Support member retention through relationship-building and events.
• Collaborate with other departments to meet member needs.
• Provide coverage for Kids club as needed.
