Position Summary

The company operates 24/7, requiring flexible shift days, start and end times, including weekends and holidays to meet business demands.

Supervises all front office personnel, ensuring proper completion of duties, and coordinates activities across front desk, reservations, guest services, and telephone areas. May prepare monthly reports and a budget for the front office.

Essential Functions

  • Train, cross-train, and retrain front office staff.
  • Supervise shift workloads.
  • Maintain communication with all departments.
  • Ensure accurate room status updates and communication.
  • Resolve guest issues promptly and courteously, following up as needed.
  • Manage group information, requirements, and relay details.
  • Review credit reports, shift handovers, cash handling, and deposits.
  • Enforce cash policies and conduct regular meetings.
  • Uphold hotel policies, guest satisfaction, and safety procedures.
  • Operate front office systems, generate reports, and forecast revenue.
  • Handle messages, packages, mail, and VIP guest requests.
  • Maintain supplies, review daily reports, and ensure proper documentation.
  • Attend meetings, respond to guest requests, and report incidents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining professionalism and adherence to policies.

Qualifications

Education and experience may be substituted with an acceptable combination of education and experience.

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Two years of customer contact and supervisory experience preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Provide friendly guest service and process check-ins/outs accurately.
  • Handle guest bills, payments, and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Operate office equipment and manage details with organizational skills.
  • Communicate effectively, work under pressure, and adapt to changing priorities.

Working Conditions & Physical Effort

Primarily indoor hotel environment; requires standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs., and operating office equipment. May operate a vehicle if necessary.
