We are currently seeking a motivated and professional Front Desk Supervisor who will act as the face of the hotel and will assist in managing the staff and the day-to-day operations at the desk ensuring that guests have an exceptional and memorable experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervise and train Front Desk Agents on a daily basis to ensure consistency in Galt House Hotel standards and guest satisfaction.
Make a daily reservation count of arrivals and departures to aid in the selling of rooms.
Use suggestive selling techniques to upgrade room types and promote other services of the hotel.
Register all incoming guest in a friendly and efficient manner.
Stay up to date on room rates, packages, discounts and how to handle each.
Develop a thorough knowledge of room types, location, literature, furnishings and other amenities that are included.
Handle complaints courteously and relay them to your manager for appropriate action.
Plan, schedule, organize, coordinate and administer front office activities. Perform responsibilities of front desk agent.
All other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:
HS Diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
2-5 years of hospitality experience.
Knowledge of Hotel Property Management System including OPERA or similar system.
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
Must have basic math abilities and be familiar with cash handling procedures.
Have the ability to get along with people and possess leadership abilities.
Knowledge of greater Louisville Area.
Requires finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment, grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking repetitive motion, hearing visual acuity, and may on occasion have to lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
Other duties as assigned.
