Job summary

Jobot is seeking a friendly Patient Services Representative in Plainfield, NJ to welcome patients and keep the front desk running smoothly. This on-site, permanent role handles greeting, scheduling, patient intake, and basic payments, acting as the first contact for our community health center.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of customer service experience; healthcare experience and EMR familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience; healthcare exposure preferred.
• Experience with electronic medical records and multi-line phone systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors; be the first point of contact for the clinic.
• Schedule, reschedule and confirm appointments; make reminder calls.
• Verify demographics, insurance and registration; keep records up to date.
• Coordinate with providers on cancellations and schedule changes to maintain flow.
• Prepare patient records and collect/record payments when applicable.
