Job summary

Pacific Terrace Hotel in San Diego is hiring a Guest Service Agent for both full-time and part-time roles. You will greet guests, register them, issue room keys, and guide directions, while handling inquiries about services, dining, and activities.

Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication, a professional and friendly demeanor, and basic computer skills; Opera experience is a plus. Weekend and holiday availability is required to support frontline guest service.

Qualifications

• Education HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in hospitality, general office, accounts receivable or customer service preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests; issue room keys and provide directions.
• Answer inquiries about hotel services, registrations, dining, and local attractions.
• Keep records of room availability and guest accounts; may make and cancel reservations.
• Compute bills, collect payments, and post charges to guest accounts.
• Transmit and receive messages using telephone, fax, or copier.
• Understand and enforce hotel credit policies; handle cash and deposits.
• Greet guests in a friendly, warm manner.
• May arrange restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations; arrange special amenities.
