Spire Orthopedic Partners, based in Stamford, CT, seeks an entry-level registrar to greet and register patients, collect demographics, and process referrals. You will use our billing system, schedule appointments, and ensure HIPAA compliance while providing friendly, accurate service at the front desk.

The role requires a high school diploma and 1–3 years in a registrar-like role, with preferred medical office experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of registrar or similar experience.
• Medical office experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of insurance carriers and plan types is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Greet and register patients in a prompt and pleasant manner.
• Instruct patients to complete registration, history and HIPAA acknowledgement forms.
• Collect and enter all insurance referrals.
• Make copies of patient forms and insurance cards.
• Enter all demographic information and off-bill comments into billing system.
• Call insurance carriers and patients for follow-up information to complete registration as needed.
• Instruct patients about referral and payment process as needed.
• Notify other departments of patient arrival.
• Pull and file patient encounters.
• Schedule and re-schedule appointments for patients.
• Take messages and respond to requests.
• Perform Expediter (escort patients to exam rooms) and Call Center duties as needed.
• Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations.
• Performs other duties as requested.
