Job summary

Allied Universal in Decatur, GA is hiring a Security Guard Visitor Reception at a government location. You will greet visitors, verify IDs, issue visitor credentials, monitor entry, and provide courteous service while keeping the site safe.

You will use computer or tablet systems to maintain logs and communicate with staff. This full-time role offers daytime shifts, a pay rate of $16.90 per hour, and a supportive team focused on people and integrity.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, patients, staff, and vendors at a government public health location by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify identification and appointments as required, and issue visitor credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access to the facility, maintain visitor logs, and direct guests to appropriate departments or services.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel, public health partners, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns and unusual activity.
