Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Reception in North Charleston, SC. You will greet visitors, enforce access control, monitor activity, and coordinate with employees and vendors to maintain a safe, welcoming environment.

This full-time position requires an active DoD Top Secret clearance, armed security or military experience, a Law Enforcement Officer License, and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Must possess an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
• Minimum 1 year of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Must hold a Law Enforcement Officer License.
• Age 18+ (unarmed) or 21+ (armed) per role.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• License requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and guests by carrying out security procedures and site policies.
• Greet visitors, verify access credentials, issue badges, and direct guests as required.
• Monitor access, maintain logs, and report unusual activity to site contacts and leadership.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow escalation and emergency procedures.
• Answer phones and support reception-related administrative tasks with building management and service providers.
