Job summary

Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Security Officer – Front Desk in Columbia, SC. You will be the first point of contact, supporting access control and visitor badging, monitoring entry activity, and documenting security incidents.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Staff the front desk to manage access by verifying identification and issuing visitor credentials.
• Monitor lobby activity and alarm, camera, and communications systems and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and document actions taken.
• Coordinate with onsite staff to support security-related operations and handle inquiries.
