Job summary

Allied Universal in Cherry Hill, NJ is seeking a Security Officer Full Time with a DoD Secret Clearance to provide front-desk security, access control, and visitor processing at an aerospace/defense site.

This role requires at least 2 years of security experience, a high school diploma, and CPR certification preferred; licensing depends on state. You will greet visitors, verify credentials, log activity, and respond to incidents with professional customer service at a dynamic site.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense office location.
• Greet, screen, and direct visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with visitor-management and identification requirements.
• Monitor entry activity, verify credentials, issue visitor badges as authorized, and maintain accurate front-desk logs and records.
• Answer and route telephone calls, receive deliveries, and communicate pertinent information to appropriate personnel in a professional manner.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying designated personnel and following established reporting procedures.
