Job summary

Allied Universal seeks a Security Officer – Part Time Reception Operations Driver in Newton, NC. You will welcome visitors, manage access controls, monitor alarm panels, and provide courteous customer service at a manufacturing/industrial site.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and basic computer skills, with a split schedule on days/weekends. Pay is $18.93 per hour, and training and benefits are available through Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering strong customer service in a security/front-desk setting.
• Familiarity with access control and visitor badge issuance.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with computer or tablet devices is preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen are required by Allied Universal policies.
• Valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Licensing requirements may apply per state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a front desk location within a manufacturing and industrial environment.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records in accordance with site-specific policies.
• Monitor access points, incoming communications, and security-related systems, escalating unusual activity or access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Support security-related procedures by directing visitors, managing incoming calls, coordinating with facility personnel, and documenting incidents and activities as required.
