Job summary

Premier Bone & Joint Centers in Cheyenne is seeking a Front Desk Representative to greet patients, schedule appointments, collect payments, and manage patient information in our busy clinic. This role may travel to outlying clinics as needed and supports rooming and basic clinical tasks as directed.

You will work in Patient Access, focusing on friendly, professional interactions, accurate data entry in the EMR, and ensuring smooth daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
  • BLS Health Care Provider (CPR) - Preferred.
  • Previous customer service, medical office, or related experience preferred.

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately according to clinic protocols.
  • Enter charges and ensure accurate billing information.
  • Check patients in and out using the EMR and practice management system.
  • Assist patients with required forms and ensure documentation is complete.

Job Title: Front Desk Rep/Traveler

Job Summary

The Front Desk Representative provides exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting patients, scheduling appointments, managing patient information, collecting payments, and supporting clinic operations. This position may also travel to outlying clinics as needed and assist with patient rooming and clinical support activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clinic Operations:
  • Complete daily opening and closing procedures, including preparing the clinic for patient care, maintaining exam rooms, restocking supplies, securing the facility, and balancing daily receipt logs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Patient Relations & Communication
  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Answer incoming telephone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and coworkers.
Scheduling & Registration
  • Schedule patient appointments accurately according to clinic protocols.
  • Obtain and enter complete patient demographic, insurance, referral, and appointment information.
  • Verify and update patient records as needed.
Patient Check-In, Check-Out & Financial Responsibilities
  • Check patients in and out using the EMR and practice management system.
  • Assist patients with required forms and ensure documentation is complete.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, balances due, and issue receipts.
  • Enter charges and ensure accurate billing information.
Patient Rooming & Clinical Suppor
  • Escort patients to exam rooms and maintain efficient patient flow.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and communicate concerns to clinical staff.
  • Obtain and document vital signs and other patient information as directed.
  • Assist patients with mobility, transfers, dressing, and examination preparation.
  • Support providers by stocking, cleaning, and preparing exam rooms.
  • Document patient information accurately in the EMR.
Administrative Support
  • Process workers compensation and motor vehicle accident documentation.
  • Route orders and assist with medical records requests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Professional Expectations
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and protect patient privacy at all times.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, professionalism, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Follow dress code, identification, safety, infection control, and cell phone policies.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training, and continuing education activities.
  • Safely utilize equipment, report equipment concerns, and assist with inventory management.
Requirements
Education

High School Diploma or Equivalent - Required

Certification & Licensures

BLS Health Care Provider (CPR) - Preferred

Experience

Previous customer service, medical office, or related experience preferred

Working Conditions
