Job summary

CommWell Health in rural North Carolina is seeking an Enrollment Counselor to help patients access government health insurance, verify benefits, and update financial data. You will guide uninsured and low-income families through the enrollment process and work with a diverse community to expand access to care.

The role requires an associate degree, three years in medical/behavioral health, and bilingual abilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in related field required.
• At least 3 years of medical, dental, or behavioral health experience.
• Bilingual proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Update patient financial data and verify/document benefits with proof of coverage.
• Assist uninsured individuals and low-income families in obtaining government health insurance.
• Support, guide, and conduct outreach to diverse individuals and families for health insurance enrollment.
• CAC (Certified Applications Counselor) obtained prior to November 1st annually, if needed.
