Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming patient calls promptly and professionally.
  • Make outgoing calls to patients regarding appointments, recalls, scheduling, and follow-up.
  • Schedule, confirm, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments.
  • Actively help fill openings and cancellations in the daily schedule.
  • Communicate appointment information clearly and accurately to patients.
  • Respond to patient questions by phone, text, and email in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Greet patients warmly when they arrive and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit.
  • Collect and accurately enter patient information into the practice management system.
  • Send forms, appointment information, records, and other requested information to patients when appropriate.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements at all times.
  • Document patient communications accurately in the patient's account.
  • Assist with basic front-office administrative duties as needed.
  • Work closely with the doctor and clinical team to keep the schedule organized and the office running efficiently.
  • Handle difficult or frustrated patients professionally and know when to escalation an issue to management.

We are a privately owned dental office seeking a reliable, professional, and friendly Front Desk Receptionist to join our team.

This is a very patient-focused position. A large part of the role involves answering phones, calling patients, scheduling and rescheduling appointments, filling openings in the schedule, responding to patient questions, and making sure every patient receives excellent customer service.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable communicating with patients throughout the day and who understands the importance of professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, and follow-through in a healthcare setting.

Previous experience in a dental office, medical office, or other patient-care environment is strongly preferred. We are willing to train the right candidate on our specific systems and office procedures.

Duties

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
